optics, cameras
  and image processing...

... are fascinating things to me - during my studies, my professional work and even in my free time (see here my curriculum vitae). Beside my PhD research in the field of spectral based camera characterization at University of Tübingen and Stuttgart Media University, I work as a software engineer in the area of machine vision camera applications at Chromasens Konstanz. Formerly I worked in the field of printing color management at GMG Tübingen, and was a visiting lecturer in digital image processing at University of Applied Science Cologne (Slides). There is QOpenImagine - a panorama image application as an open source project in progress.
Previous projects were in the field of television color management, correlation detection in images, occupant sensing in cars and utility applications for photographers.
